KIN 855- Psychosocial Bases of Coaching

Course Instructors: M. Ewing and L. Lauer Jr.

Semester Taken: Fall 2011

Course Description: The responsibility that coaches, parents, and administrators have to help young athletes develop was the focus of this course.  The course text focused on various research studies that have been conducted on the topic, along with key terms and definitions.  There were three test that served as assessments, but students were also asked to create a coaching philosophy that reflected what they had learned during the semester, along with a paper that reflected who they were/would be as a coach.
