I grew up in a very small town in southeast Michigan and loved every minute of it.  I was a competitive dancer for ten years, so I spent most of my time either at school or at the dance studio.

I graduated from Michigan State University in May of 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a concentration in secondary education.  However, I came back to MSU in the fall of 2011 in order to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Education with a focus in literacy and a Master of Science degree in Kinesology with a focus in Student-Athlete Development.

While completing my Masters' coursework, I also worked as an academic mentor and Assistant Tutorial Coordinator for Student-Athlete Support Services at MSU.

In December 2013, I accepted a job as an Athletic-Academic Counselor for The Ohio State University Football team; I loved my time in Columbus and learned so much for my collegaues and the student-athletes.

In December 2012, I married my high school sweetheart.
In our free time we enjoy spending time outdoors, attending sporting events, reading, travelling and hanging out with family and friends.  We have one Golden Retreiver, Miggy, who is named after Miguel Cabrera.
